Combe Embraces Oracle Fusion to Transform Supply Chain Operations
Personal care manufacturer Combe has begun rolling out Oracle Fusion to lead its global supply chain planning efforts. The initiative integrates embedded AI to manage production schedules, sourcing activities, and demand predictions for its key brands.
This multi-year project eliminates separate country-level ERP platforms and was delivered with Accenture Edge. It unifies workflows from production facilities to order processing and financial reporting, creating a single operational data source.
Predictive Planning Enhances Manufacturing and Procurement Efficiency
With fluctuating retail demands and inventory levels, the Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing system now calculates raw material requirements and production timelines based on live demand forecasts. It identifies material shortages in advance, enabling earlier procurement adjustments and smoother assembly line operations.
Agentic Automation Unifies Finance and Supply Chain Records
Migrating regional finance systems onto Oracle Fusion ERP delivers consistent accounting standards and immediate audit trails for controllers. Finance teams reduce delays in reconciling localized sales with central warehouses, while operational staff access automated tools for tasks like inventory monitoring and replenishment.
Combe CEO Akshay Shetty stated that the company has concentrated on personal care excellence for 77 years and selected Accenture Edge and Oracle to support continued growth while providing better visibility into operations.
Accenture Edge CEO Srini Subramanian commented that the partnership delivers the speed, scale, and precision needed for mid-market firms to match larger enterprises by building a unified digital core powered by AI.
Oracle SVP of Applications Development Natalia Rachelson noted that combining finance and supply chain processes on one platform allows Combe to automate more of the work required to adapt to shifting demand and complex global conditions.
The resulting linkage connects financial ledgers directly to factory outputs, offering real-time inventory visibility across distribution channels.
