Meta is integrating commercial software connectors into its Muse AI agent, giving small enterprises the power to automate routine operations directly in chat conversations.
Meta Muse for Small Business Handles Operational Workflows
The upgrade turns Muse into a commercial workflow orchestrator by bringing business functions into chat threads and syncing account data with ongoing administrative duties.
Meta engineers configured ‘Muse for Small Business’ to manage standard operational demands across digital channels. It reviews connected commercial profiles to assess product inventories, brand tone and regular client enquiries, then generates targeted operational copy and plans based on that data.
Tom Mulholland, owner of Mulholland Grocery in Malvern, Iowa, noted that Muse helps him reclaim time for core business activities such as cutting steaks and making sausages, as it takes over several roles that a small business owner typically manages.
Direct Links to Social, Accounting and Design Systems
The agent connects directly with Facebook Pages, Instagram professional metrics and Meta ad accounts, extending to external accounting books, storefronts and client records. Design workflows now interface with Canva to pull existing visual assets into conversations.
Cameron Adams, Co-Founder and CPO at Canva, explained that connecting Muse with Canva makes templates and tools part of conversations, allowing users to turn early ideas into on-brand, editable content ready to share for side hustles or presentations.
Autonomous Background Processing and Query Features
Autonomously, the software inspects accounting records for unusual expenses, highlights messages requiring attention and prepares draft correspondence in a dedicated ‘Ideas’ tab. Users can request audits of annual receipts, advertising performance and social metrics to establish targets for upcoming quarters.
During busy periods the system filters calendar entries and message queues to present priorities and reviews past advertising results alongside current digital trends to prepare fresh campaign schedules.
Custom Connectors, Free Core Features and Future Plans
Businesses with proprietary systems can develop custom endpoint connectors, with Meta opening partner onboarding at muse.ai/platform for external vendors to build native plugins.
Core agent features are offered at no charge, but high-volume users must subscribe to monthly plans for extended operational capacity.
Additional connector integrations and task specialisations are scheduled for deployment in the coming months.
Mark Zuckerberg on Meta Enterprise Platform
Mark Zuckerberg stated that Meta Enterprise Platform will use strengths that few other companies have: advanced models, leading agents, large-scale infrastructure, and years of working closely with many businesses. Initially, the emphasis will be on the full technology stack, including the Muse agent.
