AutoScheduler Introduces Warehouse App Builder for Logistics Teams
AutoScheduler has launched its Warehouse App Builder, a feature of the Warehouse AI Platform that enables logistics teams to develop custom tools directly from live facility data. This helps distribution centers manage the balance of inventory, machinery, and labor more effectively.
Distribution centers typically depend on rigid enterprise resource planning and warehouse management systems that are expensive and slow to adapt when issues arise. Managers then often turn to spreadsheets or undocumented staff routines. The App Builder allows teams to assemble targeted software routines in plain language, which bypasses lengthy commercial software release cycles and overburdened enterprise IT queues.
Keith Moore, CEO at AutoScheduler, explained: “Warehouses depend on expensive and slow-to-change systems, prompting staff to rely on spreadsheets, business intelligence tools, homegrown solutions, and undocumented knowledge. Now, frontline workers can build applications on live data using proven optimization techniques in just days. We handle the core system orchestration, but now equip teams with the tools to address operational challenges in between.”
Semantic Layer Enables Accurate Interpretations
The platform rests on a semantic layer developed over six years of distribution center operations. It connects warehouse management systems, labor management records, yard software, and automated machinery. Mathematical solvers interpret user prompts in plain text and produce outputs such as live monitoring dashboards, predictive trackers, and automated tasks. These are verified and sent back as instructions to core management software for floor execution.
Existing deployments have targeted applications for wave sequences, replenishment triggers, cross-dock allocation priorities, dock door schedule compliance, on-time in-full performance, and production schedules. The system integrates with existing tools such as Daily Plan, Wave Planner, Network Scoreboard, and Warehouse AI Agent, avoiding the need to stand up separate data pipelines for each project.
Kunj Pandya, Head of Product and Customer Success at AutoScheduler, stated: “Applying AI to a warehouse is straightforward. What distinguishes our approach is the semantic layer that comprehends data meanings across WMS, ERP, and labour systems. Each application utilizes optimization solvers that have been proven effective at nearly 100 sites.”
Quick Returns from Early Deployments
Early rollouts have demonstrated fast operational improvements in industrial distribution networks. A site staff member built one application in under 15 minutes during a workshop. Another planner independently developed a replenishment tracking tool that delivered substantial operational gains within a fortnight. This deployment supported an annual six-figure operating budget allocation from facility management. Production teams at an international consumer brand confirmed its benefits for daily communications and schedule adherence.
A planner at a global food and beverage company shared: “The AutoScheduler App Builder feature stands out as an excellent fusion of software and AI. It effectively bridges the primary challenge in software development by converting business problem understanding into practical digital solutions. Using the App Builder, we have integrated key data into decision venues, modified workflows, addressed information gaps, and greatly accelerated information flow between stakeholders.”
The AI App Builder has reached general commercial availability across the client base. AutoScheduler is accompanying the release with dedicated technical specialists to support client engineering teams during the initial application development phases.
