Gatik Secures $200M Series D Round to Accelerate Autonomous Middle-Mile Delivery

Autonomous trucking startup Gatik has raised $200 million in Series D funding to expand its driverless freight operations across North America and grow its commercial partnerships.

Autonomous logistics pioneer Gatik has closed a $200 million Series D funding round to accelerate the rollout of its driverless delivery trucks across North America. The round was co-led by the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies, alongside backing from ARK Invest, Millennium Management, and Intact Private Capital.

Specializing in middle-mile logistics—transporting goods between warehouses, distribution hubs, and retail stores—Gatik has logged over 85,000 fully driverless trips while maintaining a 99% on-time delivery rate. The company reports holding more than $600 million in contracted commercial revenue.

Expanding Fleet and Dynamic Operations

Gatik currently operates regional routes across Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and Canada. The new capital will support technology enhancements, infrastructure buildout, and fleet expansion, with the company aiming to surpass 100 driverless vehicles by the end of 2026 before scaling into the thousands in subsequent years.

Key commercial milestones include:

  • PepsiCo: A multi-year supply chain deployment featuring 41 fully autonomous box trucks handling high-frequency distribution for brands like Frito-Lay.
  • Loblaw: A multi-year collaboration in Canada encompassing up to 50 autonomous trucks serving hundreds of retail locations in the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Dynamic Routing: Evolution from short, fixed 10-mile loops to complex, demand-responsive network routes spanning up to 400 miles on both highways and city streets.

AI Simulation and Hardware Partnerships

To support its proprietary Gatik Driver system, the company leverages its Arena simulation platform. Built with synthetic data and NVIDIA Cosmos foundation models, Arena enables extensive testing of complex edge cases and hazardous driving conditions in virtual environments.

Onboard compute is powered by NVIDIA DRIVE AGX platforms for real-time sensor processing. Additionally, Gatik is partnering with Isuzu Motors—which contributed a $30 million investment in 2024—to co-develop redundant Level 4 chassis, targeting commercial mass production by 2027.
